Colossal premiered at TIFF September 9 and will be released

theatrically in 2017.

Colossal, written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo and starring Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis, has been acquired by Tom Quinn and Tim League's new company during the Toronto Film Festival.

Route One partnered with Voltage Pictures to co-finance and produce the science-fiction fantasy Colossal, written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes; Open Windows). The film stars Academy Award-winning Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables; The Dark Knight Rises) and Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses; We’re the Millers).

Colossal is the story of Gloria (Hathaway), a troubled woman, who returns to her hometown after a breakup only to find that she, along with a childhood friend (Sudeikis), are linked to the motions of giant monsters attacking Seoul. To prevent further destruction, Gloria needs to determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world. Target release date is 2017.
